Polska perkusistka Dorota Piotrowska – artystka, która spędziła osiem lat na nowojorskiej scenie jazzowej, a także pracowała na rzecz Organizacji Narodów Zjednoczonych – zabiera głos poprzez sztukę.
10 koncertów w Polsce i w Rumunii pod hasłem „Pokój dla świata” jest wynikiem głębokich przemyśleń i wspólnym głosem artystów z różnych krajów świata promujących ideę pojednania. W skład zespołu wchodzą wybitni artyści z USA, Polski, Norwegii, Libanu i Kuby. Jazz staje się tu uniwersalnym językiem porozumienia, a koncerty – przestrzenią, w której dźwięk łączy różne tradycje i otwiera drzwi do rozmowy o tym, co naprawdę ważne.
Każdy koncert będzie nie tylko muzycznym wydarzeniem, lecz także manifestem – promującym jeden z 10 kroków do pokoju:

“Peace for the World” – Concert Tour

In a world where the word “war” is part of daily reality for many, and where the victims are often innocent people, music must become a call for reflection and collective action.
Polish drummer Dorota Piotrowska – an artist who spent eight years on the New York jazz scene and has also worked for the United Nations – raises her voice through art.
The 10 concerts in Poland and Romania under the motto “Peace for the World” are the result of deep reflection and a shared message from artists across the globe, promoting the idea of reconciliation. The ensemble features outstanding musicians from the USA, Poland, Norway, Lebanon, and Cuba.
Here, jazz becomes a universal language of understanding, and the concerts – a space where sound unites different traditions and opens the door to dialogue about what truly matters.
Each concert will be not only a musical event but also a manifesto – highlighting one of the 10 steps toward peace:
- Acknowledge the suffering of others – move beyond divisions of “us” and “them”
- Listen – dialogue before action
- Justice matters – without fairness, peace cannot last
- Voices together – include women, youth, and local actors
- Break the cycle – address root causes, not just symptoms
- Disarm fear – reduce weapons, reduce mistrust
- Respect All – equality, dignity, and human rights at the core
- Heal through art – reconciliation, memory, and cultural expression
- Act early – prevention is cheaper and safer than war
- Sustain hope, sustain dialogue, sustain art – peace is a daily practice, not a one-time event
Sharing the stage with Piotrowska will be jazz legend Greg Osby, alto and soprano saxophonist, known for collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Jack DeJohnette, and Dizzy Gillespie. The line-up also features Norwegian trumpeter Hildegunn Øiseth, American bassist Ameen Saleem, Lebanese pianist Tarek Yamani, and Cuban percussionist Barbaro Crespo “Machito.”
The “Peace for the World” tour is more than a series of concerts – it is an invitation to reflect on how music and culture can serve as tools for building bridges where dialogue is often missing.
